-The EPDA was also recognized by the Office of the Governor through the One Star Foundation for outstanding collaboration with non-traditional partners.
-In 2009, the EPDA was recognized by the City and County of El Paso for its outstanding services, contributing to the health of the community.
-The EPDA has been recognized by Region 19 Education Service Center and Region 19 Headstart for the past 4 years for outstanding contribution to children's health.
-The EPDA has been recognized by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
-Finally, the EPDA was recognized in 2007 by the National Institutes of Health.
-We are proud of our small contributions to date. We are working diligently to make more significant and meaningful contributions. We gladly accept the challenge of working side by side with our partners to a day when we will celebrate a decrease in the prevalence and/or incidence of diabetes in El Paso.
