It is easy to say that resources in El Paso are limited but why is that the case? El Paso now boasts of a population of over 800,000 inhabitants. Those numbers would suggest that El Paso has the resources to take care of itself. I know this is painting a simplistic picture but imagine with me, every adult in El Paso (over 200,000) deciding that they have had enough of diabetes. Each adult donates $20.00 per year to the EPDA. This would be the equivalent of 4 million dollars or more. Would diabetes change in El Paso with an investment of 4 million dollars per year over a span of two to three years? I think yes. What do you think?
